27 Quick Stylish Designs for New Zealanders

By Gillian Whalley-Torckler

Availability: 83 in stock

Knitting is back, and this gorgeous new knitting book from NZ author Gillian Whalley-Torckler features 27 patterns from simple beanies and berets to more structured caps and brimmed hats.
The projects are ideal for beginners as they are quick to knit and only need a ball or two of yarn. Within a few hours you can be wearing something that you made yourself.
Gillian's guide to yarn weights makes for easy substitution of wools, and you can unleash your creativity with different colours and styles of yarns.
As a bonus, there are 10 patterns for knitted embellishments, such as roses and lilies, that can be made into brooches or sewn onto your hat.

Hear Gillian talk about her book on Coast FM.

246 x 189 mm, 128 pages, paperback, 27 patterns, over 50 photographs

Gillian Whalley-Torckler

GILLIAN WHALLEY-TORCKLER first picked up a pair of knitting needles as a young girl living in Toronto. At university, she was paid to knit designer sweaters and when her lecturers saw her knitting during classes, they asked her to knit for their children. Since then, whatever she is doing, her needles and yarns are never far away. Gillian is also an author, writing children's books and books about diving and sea creatures in collaboration with her husband, wildlife photographer Darryl Torckler. This is her first knitting book. She lives in Warkworth with Darryl and their two boys.
