John Ryder

John Ryder is an investor and entrepreneur: joint founder of publicly listed NZ retirement village operator Ryman Healthcare, one of NZ’s best-performing companies of the last decade; was director of listed jewellery company Michael Hill International; is a shareholder and chairman of New Zealand’s largest salmon farming company (New Zealand King Salmon); and chairman of leading private equity investment company Direct Capital and shareholder and chairman of the fast-rising Alpine Retirement Group. For thirteen years he has written a regular newsletter on global investment opportunities. John is based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
